Das Spezial x WaterBear
Brighton | Songwriting | Creative workshop
Spezial was invited to WaterBear College of Music in Brighton to host a songwriting workshop for BA students studying songwriting and performance.
Working in small groups, the students were challenged to create and record an original song within a single session, before sharing their work with the wider group for feedback and critique.
Shahab and Caroline worked alongside the students throughout the day, observing their creative processes and offering feedback on songwriting, arrangement and production as their ideas developed.
The result was a diverse collection of songs spanning hip-hop, pop, folk and everything in between — and a great opportunity to spend time with a passionate group of emerging musicians, songwriters and producers.
It was a pleasure to be invited into the WaterBear community for the day, and to share some of our experience with the next generation of creative talent.
Huge thanks to Kieron Pepper for the invitation.
