Das SPEZIAL x Spirit Studio
Industry insight, creative practice: the next generation of music talent
As part of our work supporting and connecting with emerging creative talent, Das Spezial was invited to Spirit Studios in Manchester to deliver a workshop for music students.
The session gave students an opportunity to hear directly from the Spezial team about working professionally within the music industry — from developing creative ideas and building a network to the realities of turning passion into a sustainable creative career.
The workshop was met with an enthusiastic response from students and staff, with Spirit Studios’ Director, Ian Hu, describing the session as an inspiring experience for the students.
“The guys from Spezial are a classic example of what can happen if you combine passion with hard work and a willingness to network. The session they did at Spirit Studios clearly inspired our students. This has been backed up by the great feedback we've had from those that attended.”
For Spezial, the session was an opportunity to share some of our experience with the next generation of artists and creatives, and to contribute to the wider music community in Manchester.
A snapshot of the work we do beyond our own creative projects — bringing industry experience, creative thinking and practical insight into new spaces and audiences.
